Wine Review: Wow, this wine is not for the faint at heart! This wine is his flagship Shiraz. This wine opens with a terrific spicy licorice bouquet. On the palate, this full bodied wine is smooth and has very concentrated dusty black cherry like flavors. The finish is very dry and sails on for quite some time. This wine would pair perfectly with your favorite steak with a red wine reduction sauce or you can certainly drink it on its own. This wine is designed for those that like fruit forward Shiraz wines with gusto. Enjoy this big boy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Hanisch Shiraz is the flagship wine of Rolf Binder Wines. It presents an intensely expressive Shiraz with full ripe body and deep ruby colour. It is a very big wine that takes a little time to open up and more than rewards the patient user. "A deep red-purple, this is a very rich fruit-forward wine, showing some oak and spice. An immediate attack of fruit with depth. It is not overpowering, but harmonious, with a rich core of firmness that makes it stand out. A great wine with harmony and depth, and a lovely persistence of fruit." Rolf Binder
