Wine Review: Tir Na N'og means "Land of the Youth" and this wine shows a little youth right now. This very dark red wine has a forward ripe blackberry bouquet. On the palate, this medium bodied wine is round, has nice acidity, and expresses delicious spicy blackberry flavors with a hint of sweetness as well. The finish is dry, has fine tannins, and some length. This wine would pair perfectly with Memphis styled barbecue ribs. Enjoy it in its youth or cellar it for a year or two. Cheers – Ken

Winemaker Notes: "Inevitably my Irish heritage had to surface. Tir na N’og (pronounced Tier nah Nohg") is gaelic for "Land of the Youth". This Old Vine Grenache made from fruit sourced from old dry grown vines, pays homage to the concept of eternal youth, something that passed me by a few years ago!" John Larchet, Proprietor.
