Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a very inviting berry bouquet with hints of clove and Eucalyptus. On the palate, this wine is smooth, well balanced, and has forward dusty plum flavors with hints of menthol. The finish is quite dry, has fine tannins that are noticeable, but is a bit brief. This wine would pair nicely with grilled steak with a red wine and shallot reduction sauce. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: "Alexis takes its rightful place as a true Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon with this superb vintage. The wine is richly appointed with notes of cassis, black cherry, licorice and roasted espresso beans. Excellent structure is apparent in powerful, Fine-grained tannins and an ideal complement of acidity. Plan on holding this cellar-worthy Cabernet for three to 20-plus years." Chris Phelps, Winemaker
