Wine Review: This wine is for those of you that like a full throttle red. This very opaque dark purple wine opens with a heavenly blackberry liqueur like bouquet. On the palate, this medium to full bodied wine is smooth, extremely concentrated, with lush and ripe blackberry like flavors. The finish is quite dry and lingers slightly. This wine is not for shy folks. I would pair it with strong cheese and enjoy it by the fireplace on a cool evening. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2004 vintage is becoming recognised as an outstanding year for the McLaren Vale region. This example shows the variety’s typical aromas of spice, pepper and licorice integrated with vanilla from maturation in American oak barriques. The full and generous palate has a good balance of acid and tannin which will enable the wine to age gracefully for many years. - Geoff Johnston
