Wine Review: Penfolds has again done a Very Good job making this red blend. It is a very nice follow up to the terrific 2004 vintage. This dark ruby offering opens with a bouquet of dark berries and cherry vanilla. On the palate, this wine is nicely balanced, easy to drink, and presents fruit forward spicy black cherry flavors with notes of black licorice. This finish is dry, with slightly tingly tannins that linger slightly. This food friendly wine would pair very nicely with meatloaf. Enjoy – Ken
