Wine Review: This yellow colored wine opens with a light peach and apricot like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, creamy, and smooth. It displays light lime flavors with infused minerality throughout. The finish is clean, dry, and quite refreshing. This wine is very food friendly and would pair well with chicken cordon bleu or ham. Winemaker Notes: One of Friuli’s great indigenous white varietals. La Tunella Tocai Friulano 2006 has a brilliant straw-yellow color, with elegant green reflections. This noble wine embodies a delicately harmonious floral and fruity bouquet, and a typical nose of almond, pear, wild flowers and acacia. The palate is smooth and velvety, moderately acidic, dry yet flavorful, and well-structured. The persistent finish is characterized by a distinctive and unmistakable scent of almond, accentuating the uniqueness of the variety.
