Wine Review: This wine could be the bargain wine find of the 2009 Boston Wine Expo. It is a very dark ruby colored. It opens with a very attractive blueberry bouquet with notes of spice. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very smooth, and balanced. It is very easy to drink with its juicy black raspberry flavors. We also picked up notes of spicy blueberry and a touch of oak in the flavor profile. The finish is quite dry and its tannins are quite prolonged. We agreed that this wine would pair perfectly with a NY strip steak. We also agreed that this gem was a lot of wine for the money. Hats off to winemaker Marcelo Papa. Enjoy – Ken
