2006 Perrin et Fils French - Rhone (Red Blend) "Les Cornuds"![]() Winery: Perrin et Fils Vintage: 2006 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Les Cornuds" Wine Category: French - Rhone (Red Blend) Grape blend: 50% Syrah & 50% Grenache Region: Vinsobres State or country: France Price: $19 Cases produced: 5,000 KWG Score: 90.3 (based on 3 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (88) Review date: April 10, 2009 Wine Review: This dark ruby colored wine opens with a raspberry like bouquet with notes of dark chocolate present as well. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, smooth, and had a dry mouthfeel. The flavor profile is a dusty black cherry. The finish is quite dry and its tannins linger for quite some time. This very young wine would pair very well with meat lasagna. Enjoy - Ken Winemaker Notes: The colour is a deep ruby with a purple edge. The syrah grape shows on the nose, with red fruit, black cherry and liquorice. On the palate this combines power with elegance/ with its velvety, fleshy texture. The finish shows the lift typical of the cooler parts of the Rhône valley. Organic status: not organic Buy it: Use 1000 Corks to find stores that sell Perrin & Fils 2006 Les Cornuds.
