Wine Review: This offering from Pierre Usseglio is not your average Cotes du Rhone. This wine was described as a mini CDP and I would have to agree. This bright ruby colored wine opens with a spicy black raspberry like bouquet with a touch of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced with juicy black raspberry flavors and note of integrated spice and oak. The finish is quite dry and lingers for quite some time. This is a top shelf Cote du Rhone. It is CDP quality at half the price. Pick up a bottle or too and pair it with some shepherds pie. Enjoy – Ken
