It opens with a spicy mulberry like bouquet with a hint of menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and nicely balanced with complex flavors of concentrated black cherry flavors. There were notes of blackberry as well. I even detected some dark chocolate on the back palate. The finish is dry and its well managed tannins are nicely prolonged.
