Wine Review: This opaque and dark purple colored Syrah from Paso opens with a fragrant plum and blueberry bouquet with a hint of smoky oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty black cherry and plum blend with integrated old oak and hints of special dark chocolate. The finish is dry and its mild tannins are slightly prolonged. Pair this tasty Syrah with a venison steak. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2010 Austin Hope Syrah displays a deeply concentrated purple color with aromas of blueberry, cherry and hints of spice and wild herbs. Fresh, juicy berries, plum and red cherry emerge on the palate, balanced by notes of smoked meat and chocolate. A round mouthfeel leads to a lush, elegant finish.
