Wine Review: This slightly opaque dark ruby colored Zin opens with a plum and black raspberry bouquet with a hint of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, very ripe and juicy. The flavor profile is an extracted red currant with notes of blackberry and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are slightly prolonged. I would pair this fruit bomb with grilled barbecue steak tips. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Our 2007 Jack's cabin Zinfandel is a veritable explosion of fruit, jam packed with strawberries, cherries and raspberries and laced throughout with hints of cocoa, cola and baking spices. The palate is rich and chewy and delivers more of the ripe berry fruit and spicy nuances found in the aromas. The texture and weight are exceptional and the overall wine is a classic example of the concentration and elegance that defines our Rockpile Zinfandel.
