Wine Review: If you are looking for a Chateauneuf du Pape to enjoy soon, here it is. This opaque and very dark purple colored wine opens with a mild black cherry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, very smooth, and elegant. The flavor profile is a gentle black currant and oak blend with hints of pepper. The finish is dry and its dusty tannins are rather sticky and long. This wine will show best soon after release. But it tannins do call for some fatty foods like a prime rib. Enjoy - Ken
