Wine Review: This is very enjoyable and quite fruity Chardonnay from Cambria's cool-climate vineyards. It opens with an almond, slate, oak and wet grass bouquet. It is a golden yellow colored and light to medium bodied. It displays a slightly round and silky mouth-feel. Its flavors are creamy lemon, hazelnut, oak, green apple and minerality that lead to a lingering finish with white pepper and toasty notes. Fried shrimp would pair well with this Chardonnay. Enjoy – Mark

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Benchbreak Chardonnay opens with lively fruit and oak spice aromas. Citrus, pineapple, white peach and apple flavors carry through the mid-palate and into the fresh, clean finish. Try our Benchbreak Chardonnay with crab and lobster, shrimp and fried calamari. It also pairs will with Cow’s milk cheeses such as mild cheddar, Gruyere and Brie.
