Wine Review: This very opaque and dark ruby colored Spanish red blend opens with a fragrant black cherry and strawberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a mild cranberry and flinty mineral blend with notes of oak. I also detected hints of faint raspberry in the background. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins linger for a while. This wine is very Old World in style. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Chalky and clay soils offer ideal footing for cairns blend of 40% Monastrell, 30% Tempranillo, 15% Syrah, 15% Cabernet Sauvignon. 12 + 12 achieves a fresh and balanced style, from fruit grown in altitudes between 2000 and 3500 feet. Aged 12 months in French oak, 12 months in the bottle.
