Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Mencia opens with very musty earth like bouquet with a hint of black cherry in the background. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, rather smooth, silky and balanced. The flavor profile is a cedar plank and red cherry blend with hints of red raspberry, minerality, and strawberry licorice. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away quickly. This wine is easy to drink and would pair well with food. I would pick meat lasagna. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Unoaked. Deep purple color, aromas of ripe red fruit and minerals. Inherent complexity. Not in the slightest a light wine, perhaps just the opposite—the finish is long and captivating.
