Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Cabernet Sauvignon from Caymus won over that tasting panel as it tied for first place in our recent Big Blind tasting of high end reds. It opens with a blueberry bouquet with a hint of vanilla oak. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and rich. The flavor profile is an extracted blueberry with hints of oak, toffee, cinnamon, and bacon. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are well managed. The panel suggested drinking this wine by the fireplace. With food they thought it would pair well with roast duck. Enjoy - KWGTP
