Wine Review: This slightly opaque and dark ruby colored Chateauneuf du Pape opens with a mild black cherry and gentle new leather bouquet with a hint of red apple. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced and juicy. The flavor profile is a tasty gentle cedar plank infused dark chocolate covered cherry with hints of blueberry. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins build up and stick around for a while. Mark and I suggested decanting this impressive CDP and serve it with a well-marbled ribeye steak. Enjoy - Ken
