Wine Review: This slightly opaque and very dark Merlot from Bordeaux is terrific and an excellent deal! It opens with a kirsch bouquet with hints of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is a concentrated black currant with nicely integrated oak and minerality. I also detected hints of plum and a touch of strawberry. The finish is dry and its big tannins build and last for an extended period of time. We would have never guessed that this was 100% Merlot. This is a Cab drinkers Merlot. Decant it and serve this gem with a well marbled ribeye. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Deep purple color with a garnet shade. Nose: Silky, fresh and intense fruity flavor with remarkable richness. Mouth: Opulent extract of ripe fruits with elegant tannins and freshness in the aftertaste. Appellation: Montagne-Saint-Emilion
