2008 Chateau Ste Michelle Sauvignon Blanc "Columbia Valley"![]() Winery: Chateau Ste Michelle Vintage: 2008 Wine Name/Vineyard: "Columbia Valley" Wine Category: Sauvignon Blanc Grape blend: 100% Sauvignon Blanc Region: Columbia Valley State or country: WA Price: $10 Cases produced: 105,000 KWG Score: 87.5 (based on 4 reviews) Ken's Wine Rating: Very Good (87) Review date: June 22, 2009 Wine Review: This very pale yellow colored wine opens with a light cantaloupe like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light bodied, crisp, and a little lively. The flavor profile is a cross between green apple and lime with notes of minerality as well. The finish is dry, refreshing, and subtle. This wine is a nice option for the summer. Chilled, poolside, and with sliced fruit would be quite enjoyable. Ken Winemaker Notes: "The mostly stainless steel fermentation makes this a crisp, refreshing style of Sauvignon Blanc. The wine offers fresh aromas of herbs and lavender with a beautiful floral note. Limited barrel aging gives the wine a rich character on the palate that would pair well with dishes with cream sauce." Organic status: not organic Subscribers: Have you tried this wine?
