Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Barbera opens with a fragrant black cherry bouquet with a little mild leather influence. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty plum and black cherry blend with notes of cedar and a dash of five spice. The finish is dry and its flavors and very fine tannins drift away nicely. This wine is very food friendly and would pair perfectly with veal parmigianna. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Deep ruby red in color with garnet hues, Pomorosso offers a complex and fragrant bouquet of ripe cherries and blackberry, deliciously integrated with subtle notes of cherry liqueur, chocolate, vanilla and espresso. This Barbera is very intense and toasty in character with a solid yet velvety structure. An extremely elegant and sumptuous Barbera that pairs well with pasta in rich meat sauce, polenta with sausages and mushrooms, and red meat dishes such as roasted game, fillet mignon and roast beef.
