Wine Review: This very dark ruby colored Barbera is a bit rustic. It opens with an oaky black cherry bouquet with a hint of prune. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and balanced. The flavor profile features black olive, black cherry and oak, blended with hints of prune, balsamic and nutmeg. The finish is dry and its mild tannins and flavors subtly drift away. This wine is made for food. I would pair it with pan-seared five-spice duck breast with balsamic jus. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Color: Dark ruby red Taste: Fine, well-structured and long-lasting
Pairings: Pasta with beans, risotto with porcini mushrooms, chicken chasseur
