Wine Review: This dark ruby colored Syrah is old school and rustic in style. It opens with a beef jerky and blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile displays a tasty red plum and beef jerky blend with notes of minerality and blackberry. I also detected hints of faint oak and cherry in the background. This Syrah is pretty complex. I would pair it with beef bourguignon. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: This is a big, bold wine. The color is very dark red with deep purple undertones. The aromas are expressive, suggesting cranberry, plum, pepper, toasted oak and hints of vanilla and mocha. On the palate the wine is full bodied with a bold attack and a full midpalate leading into a long finish. The texture of the wine is rich. It is well rounded, but with a very nice balance of acid and tannin which provides a bold framework for the wine to age within. Food Pairing: Wild Game, Pizza, Seasoned Stew.
