Wine Review: This opaque and midnight blue colored Syrah opens with a blueberry and smoky oak bouquet with a hint of new leather and black pepper. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, juicy, savory and a bit rustic. The flavor profile is a spicy black currant and dark chocolate blend with notes of oak, licorice, raspberry and black pepper. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins and fruit flavors linger for a while after the wine is gone. This wine would pair well with barbecue beef brisket. Enjoy - Ken
