Wine Review: This yellow colored Napa Chardonnay oozes with a vanilla oak bouquet with a hint of butterscotch. It is a flamboyant California styled Chard. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and concentrated. The flavor profile is an intense oak influenced ripe red apple with notes of white pepper and spice. The finish is dry and is a bit tingly. This Chard would pair well with a wild mushroom and chicken ravioli in a heavy brown cream sauce. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2009 season, defined by cool, consistent weather, was impeccable for developing Chardonnay’s full potential to be bright, concentrated and expansive. Vibrant key lime, orange blossom and honeysuckle aromas predominate. Upon release, the wine is blessed with an exceptionally graceful and persistent mouthfeel defined by Fuji apple and white peach. Youthful, with a firm mineral structure, the wine shows delicacy and complexity in the finish with notes of hazelnut oil, chalk, and creamy vanilla bean.
