Wine Review: This pale straw colored Chardonnay from the Russian River opens with oak influenced apple bouquet with a hint of butterscotch. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, round and juicy. The flavor profile is a classic rich California style. It exudes lots of butterscotch in front of green apple and oak. I also detected some notes of butter and pear. The finish is dry and its flavors are very prolonged. This Chard has a lot of flavors and is best consumed on its own. That said, I might try it with lobster bisque with sherry. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2014 Davis Bynum Chardonnay has beautiful aromas of baked apple and pears, pineapple, lemon and white flowers. On the palate the wine opens up with toasty brioche and baking spices, with a lush finish that is balanced with acidity and a rich creaminess. Enjoy this Chardonnay with creamy cheeses, vegetable raviolis or grilled veal chops and mushrooms.
