Wine Review: This enjoyable light golden straw colored Chardonnay from South Africa opens with an inviting bouquet of peaches, pineapples, wet stone, light vanilla and herbal notes. It is medium bodied, well-balanced and smooth on the palate. The flavor profile includes lemon zest, tangerine and some nice acidity. The finish is delightfully crisp and some dry pink grapefruit appears. This well-priced Chardonnay is quite food friendly and I would pair it with scallops wrapped in bacon drizzled with pure maple syrup. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: Enticing vanilla, almond and tropical fruit aromas lead to a lush, concentrated palate. Ripe notes of white peach, grapefruit and apple are tinged with delicate hints of butterscotch, caramel and toast, all backed by a vibrant acidity and a beautiful minerally edge.
