Wine Review: This pale straw Spatlese level Riesling from Dr. Loosen is Excellent! It opens with an inviting lime and wet stone bouquet. On the palate, this wine is light to medium bodied, nicely balanced and delicate. The flavor profile is an off-dry mild pear with notes of gentle minerality, ginger and a touch of grapefruit. The finish remains semi-dry and fades away nicely. This Riesling is very food friendly and would pair perfectly with lemon rosemary marinated grilled halibut. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Under close to perfect conditions, we were able to harvest grapes with optimal must weights and acidity levels, producing wines in all quality levels. The vintage also gave us excellent yields, with a beautiful balance of ripeness and acidity. The wines are dense and concentrated, but with the delicate and graceful style of the Mosel.

Organic status: not organic
