Wine Review: This Cabernet from the Dry Creek Valley is special. It opens with an attractive black currant and oak bouquet with a hint of blackberry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, very nicely balanced and velvety. The flavor profile is a yummy black currant with notes of boysenberry. I also detected hints of oak, plum, smoke and a touch of anise. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are sticky and linger for quite a while. This Cab is drinking really well right now. It will not last very long. I would pair it with a ribeye steak now and a filet if you save it for a few years. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The Dry Creek Valley offers an unparalleled environment for growing some of the finest Bordeaux varietals in California. This incredible wine offers a distinct aromatic elegance and displays the classic Dry Creek Valley flavors of bright red cherry, black tea and dried spices. Silky and smooth, this memorable wine develops harmonious layers of fruit with lush plums, cassis and juicy red cherry characters. The silky tannins are refined and polished presenting underlying nuances of earth, minerals and dried flowers. The result is a pleasing and lengthy finish with a smooth texture and a refined structure which offers the potential for very long term aging.
