Wine Review: This almost clear colored Pinot Gris from Elk Cove is very good. It opens with a fragrant pear bouquet with hints orange cream savors. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a very tasty Bosc pear with hints of mild minerality and lemon verbena. The finish is dry and its flavors linger and last for quite a while. This yummy Pinot Gris is consistently a winner. Serve it with broiled scallops. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Pale lemon tempts with high aromatics - pineapple and grilled plantain meander into notes of yellow peach, fresh ginger and honeydew. A melon soft texture unfolds with Meyer lemon and peach preserve hinting at undertones of ginger spice, hibiscus and rhubarb.
