Wine Review: I retasted this wine last night and it is showing really well right now. It is opaque dark ruby colored and opens with a mild blueberry and black currant bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, rich and really well balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a delicious gentle black raspberry with notes of black currant and nicely integrated oak. There was also a hint of blueberry mixed in as well. The finish is dry and it's well managed fine tannins drift away nicely. This settling of the tannins is the biggest change since our last review. This wine paired perfectly with our braised slow cooked pork. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Dense, opaque, violet hues. Complex aromas, typical Douro varietal red berry fruits with subtle smokey notes. Firm and solid with elegant fruit notes and discrete toast. Well structured, good balance and persistence. Stately and rich wine, to accompany mushrooms stuffed with goat cheese until the tenderloin Steak of Veal. Leaving the palate with an incredible sensation of simple elegance.
