Wine Review: This white gold colored Chardonnay from Ferrari Carano opens with a fragrant fruit cocktail like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, fruit forward and juicy. The flavor profile is a juicy pear and pineapple blend with notes of Jazz apple. I also detected hints of vanilla oak, ginger, caramel and dash of white pepper. The finish is dry and its flavors fade away nicely. This Chard would pair very nicely with chicken and wild mushroom ravioli with a light butter cream sauce. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2012 Ferrari-Carano Chardonnay from Sonoma County is a full-bodied Chardonnay. It boasts aromas of apple, citrus, pear and marshmallow perfectly balanced by flavors of quince, peach, lemon and hazelnut with lingering, creamy toasted oak notes.
