Wine Review: This pitch black colored Syrah from the Santa Ynez Valley opens with a fragrant blackberry jam and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and very easy to drink. The flavor profile is a dusty mineral influenced blackberry with notes of mild boysenberry and oak with a touch of black olive. The finish is dry and its fruit and medium tannins drift away nicely. I would pair this Syrah with a juicy bacon burger in the near term. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: Rich and intense with aromas of blackberry and black cherries. Flavors of cassis, dark roast coffee and vanilla laced with nutmeg and allspice. Opulent texture and tannin weight round out the palate.
