Wine Review: This light yellow colored Chardonnay opens with a fresh green apple and mineral like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile that this Chard displays is a fruit and minerality forward style. That fruit flavor is primarily Bosc pear surrounded by minerality with a dash of white pepper and dollop of lemon. A touch of butterscotch and oak come in towards the end. The finish is dry and lingers nicely. This Chard is food friendly and will really appear to reader who do not like a malo styled Chard. It would be perfect with grilled swordfish with a lemon butter drizzle. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Following the classic style that Miljenko "Mike" Grgich established when we began in 1977, we did not allow the Chardonnay to undergo malolactic fermentation, and our Biodynamic farming created a wine that is alive with delicious acidity. The wine's crisp, yet rich, flavors of apple, honeydew melon and fig with a hint of baked brioche are perfect for fresh seafood, roasted chicken, grilled pork, or creamy cheeses.
