Wine Review: This pale yellow colored Gewurztraminer opens with a mild lychee bouquet with a hint of peach and pear. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic and mouthwatering. The flavor profile is a mineral infused Anjou pear with hints of white pepper and spice. The finish is dry and nicely refreshing. This Very Good Gewurz is ideal for Chicken lo-mein or cashew chicken. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: Fragrant aromas of white flowers, clementine and allspice burst from the glass followed by luscious flavors of Asian pear, lime, guava and passion fruit spiced with coriander. The round, plush palate is accentuated with delicately woven mineral notes and crisp acidity leading into to a long, vibrant finish. Wonderfully bright and fresh in its youth, this classic, dry Gewürztraminer will continue to develop complexity up to fifteen years from vintage.

Your comments on this wine:

Clinking Glasses Before Tasting Wine: Originates from medieval times. Milk was often spoiled, water was often polluted. Wine was usually safe. The host would drink the wine first and then clink glasses with guests to show the wine was good and safe for drinking.
