Wine Review: This light straw colored Chardonnay from Lodi opens with a fragrant floral, pineapple, and cantaloupe bouquet with hints of vanilla and oak. It is medium bodied and smooth with balanced acidity. It is slightly syrupy with flavors of pears, tangerines and light green apple. The finish was slightly dry with a touch of green pepper. I would pair this Chardonnay with a grilled chicken breast with melted provolone cheese and herb mayonnaise on a toasted bun. - Joe

Winemaker Notes: This Chardonnay exhibits refreshing aromas of fresh green apples, citrus and tropical fruit. Light citrus layered with fresh peaches fill the mouth, as soft vanilla and oak highlights linger. Good acidity gives it a crisp balance, with a creamy medium-weight finish. This Chardonnay should be served slightly chilled with French onion soup or trout almandine.
