Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Pinot Noir from Jeff Gordon opens with a red raspberry and plum like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a mild plum with notes of minerality and black pepper. I also detected some mild red raspberry as well. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged well after the wine is gone. I would pair this crowd pleasing Pinot with cherry amaretto chicken. It didn't last long. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This is our fourth vintage of Pinot. On the nose it displays ripe fruit aromas of raspberry, cherry and strawberry with notes of mineral, earth and smoky oak. On the palate, there are concentrated flavors of dried cherry and ripe raspberry with a hint of dark chocolate and vanilla. It has a nice, long, fruit driven finish. This wine would be excellent with medium dishes, such as duck comfit or pomegranate salmon. This pinot's fruit will hold well for about 6 years from vintage date, but will maintain longer showing aged qualities.
