Wine Review: This opaque and very dark ruby colored South African red blend opens with a ripe blackberry and blueberry bouquet with a hint of oak. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, savory and fruit forward. The flavor profile is ripe blackberry with integrated old oak and hints of plum and a dash of black pepper. The finish is dry and its very mild tannins are friendly. This is a very good value wine that would pair well with a grilled Kobe bacon burger with sauteed mushrooms. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This succulent Cape blend from South Africa’s premier Pinotage producer displays ripe, juicy flavors of cranberry, raspberry, blackberry and plum interlaced with pleasant herbal and spice notes. A distinctive smoky, earthy character makes this full-bodied red the ultimate grilling and tailgate wine.
