Wine Review: This Chardonnay is always Very Good and this year it is a bit more appealing than in the past. It is very pale yellow colored and opens with a mild lemon and vanilla oak like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, slightly acidic, and savory. The flavor profile is a pleasant mild oak infused pear and green apple blend with hints of tangerine. The finish is dry and its fruit and mild oak notes linger nicely after the wine is gone. This Chard is food friendly and will be a real crowd pleaser. I would pair it with chicken cordon bleu.
