Wine Review: This dark red colored Pinot Noir from San Luis Obispo opens with a strawberry and boysenberry like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied and soft. The fruit flavors are very forward and jammy. Those flavors are strawberry jam with notes of red plum. I also detected hints of red raspberry, cola and a touch of old oak. The finish is dry and its flavors and gentle acidity linger nicely. This Pinot is very approachable and almost quaffable. A second glass is a must and I would pair it with a grilled salmon burger.
