Wine Review: This Chateauneuf du Pape was one of the top wines that I covered from the very impressive 2010 vintage. It is opaque and very dark purple colored. It opens with a fragrant red currant bouquet with a hint of old oak. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied, smooth, and very well balanced. The flavor profile is a very tasty red currant with nicely integrated oak and plum. The finish is quite dry and its big oak tannins are sticky and sticky and rather lengthy. This wine was built for steak. Pair it with a New York strip steak and enjoy! Ken
