Wine Review: This light yellow colored Marsanne from Napa Valley was one of the best wines we tried at a recent mini-tasting. It opens with a mild pineapple and pear bouquet. On the palate this wine is medium to full bodied, nicely balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a very tasty mild oak infused apple with hints of caramel and pear. The finish is dry and its flavors are nicely prolonged. This wine is very good and lovers of oak influenced Chard will love this wine. Pair with chicken Cordon blue. Enjoy – Ken

Winemaker Notes: An aromatic, Rhône Valley-inspired varietal, the 2011 Ma(i)sonry Napa Valley Marsanne expresses a fragrant nose of creamy caramel, honeysuckle, and white flowers. Beautifully structured with subtle French oak characteristics, the nose evolves with time in glass. On the palate, unique flavors of maple and almonds meld with stonefruit and carry on to the bright, refreshing finish. Drink now or cellar over the next five years.
