Wine Review: This opaque and onyx colored Syrah opens with a smoked meat and mild black licorice bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a gentle blackberry jam and toasted oak blend with hints of black pepper, black currant, and blueberry in the background. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for quite a while. This Syrah would pair well with braised short ribs. Enjoy - Ken
