Wine Review: This opaque and dark ruby colored Cabernet Franc from Merriam opens with a fragrant blackberry and boysenberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, acidic and juicy. The flavor profile is a tart plum and black raspberry blend with notes of minerality and black pepper. I also detected hints of oak. The finish is dry and its flavors linger for a little while. I would pair this Cab Franc with pomegranate-glazed Cornish game hens. Enjoy – Ken
