Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Merlot from Merriam opens with an inviting ripe black cherry and plum bouquet. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced and approachable. The flavor profile is a black cherry and mocha blend with notes of black plum. I also detected a hint of strawberry and oak in the background. The finish is dry and its round tannins and flavors drift away nicely. This Merlot is food friendly and would pair nicely with a juicy bacon and mushroom burger. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: This Merlot has a beautiful garnet color and aromas of black cherry, plum and cedar. Very fruit forward with hints of blackberry and vanilla. An expansive palate with a long lingering finish of warm berry pie.
