Wine Review: This very opaque and dark purple colored dessert wine from Merriam opens with a very fragrant and ripe black raspberry bouquet with a hint of cedar and pipe tobacco. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a ripe black cherry pie with integrated notes of oak, plum, and black licorice. The finish is semi-sweet and lingers slightly. The panel thought this was an appealing dessert wine to serve with Manchego cheese. Enjoy - KWGTP
