Wine Review: This very dark purple colored Syrah opens with a light blueberry bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, nicely balanced, and smooth. The flavor profile is a smoky blueberry with a hint of cherry and oak. The finish is dry and its moderate tannins are nicely prolonged and linger a while. Pair this tasty wine with a ribeye. Enjoy - Ken

Winemaker Notes: The 2007 Novy Sonoma County Syrah is perhaps the most complex offering we have offered under this label. The wine marries the diverse vineyard locations revealing black cherry, rhubarb, mint, and cocoa powder flavors. There is a distinct cedar note and also an earthy, coal like character. This is a young wine that opens up with several hours of aeration. It can be paired now with hearty dishes but will certainly benefit if tucked away in a cellar for several years.
