Wine Review: This midnight purple colored Petite Sirah from Opolo opens with a coffee, wet stone, cherry-cola and cigar box like bouquet. On the palate, this wine is full bodied, balanced and smooth. The flavor profile is a unique coconut and coffee blend with notes of Dr. Pepper, vanilla and oak. We also detected a hint of fig mixed in as well. The finish is dry and its flavors and medium tannins linger nicely. The Panel suggested pairing this Petite Sirah with Shepherd’s pie or venison au poivre. Enjoy – KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Beautiful dark ink color at first glance is framed with nutmeg and smoked meats on the nose, followed by baked blueberries, ripe plum, coffee and mocha. Leading into its full-bodied finish of firm tannins with blackberry and savory cinnamon spice. Drink now, cellar for 3-7 years.
