Wine Review: I love well made red blends and this one from Peachy Canyon is really well done. It is opaque and very dark purple colored. It opens with a very fragrant ripe dark berry bouquet with hints of menthol. On the palate, this wine is medium bodied, balanced, juicy, and very fruit forward. The flavor profile is a tasty ripe blackberry with notes of black cherry and licorice. There were also hints of black pepper, blueberry, plum and oak mixed in as well. It has nice complexity. The finish is dry and its moderate well managed tannins are slightly extended. This wine would be a perfect match with barbecue steak tips or it will add lots of flavor to a beef stew. Enjoy - Ken
