Wine Review: This dark red colored Zinfandel from Peju opens with a mild cherry-cola bouquet with hints of blueberry. On the palate, this wine is medium to full bodied and balanced. The flavor profile is a mild black cherry with notes of mild minerality and oak. We also detected hints of plum and espresso coffee. The finish is dry and its fruit and building dusty tannins linger and last for quite a while. The Panel suggested pairing this Zin with braised short ribs followed by relaxing by the fireplace on a cold winters night. Enjoy - KWGTP

Winemaker Notes: Boasting deep fruit flavors, our 2014 Zinfandel exudes aromas of plum, raspberry and cherry tart. Lush and elegant, this irresistible wine exhibits flavors of freshly ground coffee layered with spicy berry compote, cola and hints of molasses. Deliciously balanced with structured tannins, this wine finishes with a deep note of pipe tobacco and wet earth. Our 2014 Zinfandel is wonderful now, but will age beautifully in bottle for another decade.
